The Christian mission is remarkably simple: Jesus sends his people into the world to make disciples.
Here in Charlotte, Waypoint lives out that mission through the everyday involvement by our church community with the people and organizations listed below.
Our approach is peer-to-peer, not institution-to-institution. Our partnerships grow out of relationships. When two or more Waypointers are actively engaged in a local organization, Waypoint looks for ways to come alongside them, support their work, and deepen that partnership.

Founded in 1989 The Barnabas Center is a nonprofit, nondenominational, Christ-centered counseling, training and teaching ministry. The Barnabas name, which means “son of encouragement,” communicates our desire to encourage people by coming alongside them, entering into their daily struggles, and walking with them toward freedom.

Helps provide care, mentorship, mental health support and financial assistance to families in the NICU at area Charlotte Hospitals.

Search seeks to provide face-to-face encounters, and establish connections through meaningful conversations. It’s about being open to meeting people who, like you, are searching for the answers to “life’s big questions.” That instead of looking to be “friended” or “followed,” that you be ready to engage with others in conversations that will bring you closer to each other, and to God.

Using clothes, toys, books, home items and furniture as a means to spread God’s love to anyone in need.

Though there are many programs and social services provided to the neighborhoods in and around West Boulevard, many families and individuals still can’t afford the basic necessities of everyday life. WBM aims to develop real and lasting relationships where service, sacrifice, and love are offered and received. It is our desire to see a true revival take place in this corridor of Charlotte, where resources are no longer scarce, hope is realized through both physical and spiritual means, and abundant life floods each home and neighborhood.

As a ministry arm of Young Life, YoungLives introduces teen moms/babies to Jesus Christ and helps them grow in their faith. Itoffers a tangible lifeline with the HOPE that life can look different for teen moms and their children.
Young Life is an international, non-denominational Christian organization dedicated to sharing the truth of God's love and the lessons and values of the Christian faith with middle and high school youth.
