Wes has served two church plants in Charlotte, and two 200-year-old congregations, as well as working with YoungLife as a church partner. He has his Doctorate in Ministry from Gordon-Conwell in Christian Leadership and coaches church planters for E.C.O. Having stayed in town since graduating Davidson, he and Lindsay and their four children (Ellie, Jack, James, Thomas) feel fortunate to have ministered in this city for more than two decades.
Whether it’s organizing a new church within a new denomination, running an ultramarathon with F3, or changing 33 diapers in one day when his triplet boys were first born, Wes embraces intentional challenges as catalysts for personal, relational, spiritual and leadership development.

Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Jenni moved to Charlotte a few years after graduating from the University of Georgia. With a background in marketing, she has worked in residential real estate, interior design, and fine jewelry before launching her own digital marketing business in 2020. She is married to Marc Cooper and is the proud stepmom of two adult children, Harrison and Barlow.
A longtime Partner at Waypoint, Jenni has served on the Prayer Team, managed social media, and co-led the Women’s Ministry. In her current role as Interim Women’s Ministry Coordinator, she is passionate about fostering authentic community, encouraging spiritual growth through God’s Word, and creating spaces where women can serve, connect, and feel at home in the body of Christ.

Lucy and her husband Perrin joined the Waypoint Family in 2024. They are proud parents of their daughter, Elizabeth. Once partners, it didn't take long for Lucy to decide to dive right in and get involved with the heart and workings of the Waypoint community. After 16 years in the medical field as an ophthalmologist, she felt called to serve in a different way- first with children learning to read and now with providing support and energy in the life of the church. At Waypoint, she organizes Sunday worship logistics, coordinates church events big and small, and manages communication so that the ministry teams can thrive. Lucy finds joy in creating spaces where relationships are nurtured and community is cherished. A natural "Martha," she loves serving behind the scenes so others can grow in their faith.

Born and raised in Charlotte, Adison grew up in the church—from Sunday School to confirmation and beyond—but spent years wrestling with what it truly means to follow Jesus. That journey has shaped his heart for youth ministry and his passion for helping students grow in a faith that’s real and resilient.
Before stepping into his role as Youth Director, Adison served as a volunteer with Waypoint’s youth group, where he discovered a calling to walk alongside students in the everyday messiness of life and faith. He believes youth ministry is where belonging and belief meet—helping students see that they are loved by God and have a purpose in His story.
Outside of ministry, Adison works as an apprentice general contractor. Whether on a soccer field, at a theme park, or hanging out with friends, he brings the same energy and intentionality—meeting people where they are and pointing them toward life with Christ.

A Charlotte native with a passion for music, Eric has been serving the Lord in worship leadership for 20 plus years. He believes that singing our faith is a powerful way for believers to come together and unify in truth.
But Eric's love for music is not limited to leading worship. He also enjoys playing instruments, singing, and listening to music. In fact, he considers himself more of a connector than an entertainer, as he seeks to connect people with God through the truth in the songs he sings.
Outside of his role as Worship Director, Eric is a full-time general contractor, using his carpentry skills to renovate homes. He is happily married to Mel, and they have three wonderful boys - Adison, Riley, and Jonathan. In addition to his various roles, Eric is a cancer survivor, which has only deepened his love for life and people.
